The Chancel Choir is made up of about 18 singers led by Kris Faatz and accompanied by Julie Hall. The choir sings 4-8 part music and responses to enhance the traditional worship service each Sunday. They also provide music for special services including those on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and Christmas Eve. The music is varied - familiar hymns, seasonal anthems - old and new, and parts of cantatas. The choir is open to all who would like to worship through music.
The Chancel Chimers, currently consisting of 10 ringers, practices every Wednesday evening at 6:30pm. We provide music for Sunday worship about 5 times a year and 4 or 5 ringers provide a Bell Peal each Sunday to gather people to worship. The bell choir has also given off-site concerts at assisted living facilities. Ringing our 4 octaves of bells and 3 octaves of chimes is our way of praising God through music.
The Children's Choir at FPC is open to any child who loves to sing. The Choir practices for 15-20 minutes each Sunday morning at 9:30 AM. Afterward, the children return to their Sunday School rooms for their lessons.
Sweet Assurance is a ladies ensemble under the direction of Julie Hall. The group consists of about 10 ladies who sing 3-6 part harmony. They provide music for special services of the church including those on Good Friday and Christmas Eve as well as the annual Advent Tryst. This group enjoys singing together and worshiping through music.
